Getting Started

1. Connect a serial RS-232 cable between the P3 and a serial port on your computer.
2. Start the P3 Utility program.
3. Use the Port tab to choose the serial port used. Click Test Communications to verify the connection.
4. Select the Firmware tab to check or update your P3's firmware.
5. If you wish to change the location of the P3 firmware folder from the default location, click Browse and choose your folder.
6. Select the Copy new files from Elecraft server to local folder check box and then click Check Versions Now. The latest firmware file will be copied from the Elecraft file server to your firmware folder.
7. If new firmware is available, click the P3 Utility Send Firmware to P3 button to update the P3's firmware.
